Weekly Get-to-Know-Paris Challenge #17!

June 15, 2012

This week’s get-to-know-Paris challenge is to attend a meet up! Most expats who have lived in Paris long enough will tell you it’s a huge mistake to shun the expat community. Of course you need to meet some locals, but dedicating some time to the expat community can be a wonderful way of meeting people with common interests and experiences and can serve as a valuable support network. I don’t think I would still be here if not for my expats friends.

Paris has 132 official meet up groups ranging from a more general and very active Internationals Meet Up Group to more precise interests such as a group for Paris Internet Marketing Professionals. At the very least, take a look through the list of topics and see what might interest you for a future date!

Do you regularly attend any meet ups? What has been your experience? Which groups would you recommend?
