A few weeks ago, Paris experienced a lunar eclipse. If you missed it, don’t worry because:
1. We all did. It was too cloudy that evening to see anything, and
2. There will be another total lunar eclipse on Saturday, December 10, 2011, with peak viewing from the Paris area around 3:31pm.
Even if the sky is cloudy, staking out a strategic spot for eclipse-viewing is still a great excuse for night photography in Paris. I was convinced the sky had an odd reddish tinge to it, though I may have been seeing what I wanted to see. I brought my small tripod and we sat near the rive droite side of the Pont Neuf. Perhaps I will see you there on December 10!
