Sometimes it is hard to fully enjoy a trip when you are stressed out about money. So why not do the thinking about finances in advance and not have to think about it while you are out and about?

The other benefit of budgeting is that you can plan to splurge once in a while and not feel guilty about it. I always tell visitors to Paris that you are better off eating very cheaply for some meals (picnics, non-French cuisines) and splurging on a few good French restaurants during your stay. You are sure to be disappointed and still go over budget if you go eat at a mid-range French restaurant every night.

Do you have any budgeting tips to share?
