Last week, I wrote about the Albert Kahn Museum & Gardens in Boulogne-Billancourt. Not so far from there, about a 30 minute’s walk away, is the Jardin des Serres d’Auteuil, a botanical garden in the Bois de Boulogne.
These gardens were created back in 1761 under Louis XV, and are one of four botanical gardens maintained by the City of Paris. An interesting side note: Paris actually has 400+ parks. The main ones are all listed here. And I’ve written about a number of them here.
A series of greenhouses in the gardens produce about 100,000 plants each year, that are used to decorate Paris’s municipal buildings.
